The site for the new hotel is located on the picturesque shores of the Indian Ocean on Thulusdhoo, one of the many Maldivian islands, just 20 km from the capital, Malé. This is a reclaimed land area created as part of a local program to expand island territories for tourism infrastructure.
The client’s brief was to design a 100-room hotel of a unique type for the Maldives, offering a high-quality experience at an accessible price point. The AIMM team developed a concept for a 6-story hotel featuring comprehensive holiday infrastructure:
- Dining & Wellness: Multiple restaurants, a spa, and a beach bar.
- Aquatic Zone: A large infinity pool with a dedicated kids’ area located right on the beach.
- Private Villas: The site also features individual one- and two-story villas with expansive panoramic windows and ocean views. Each villa includes a private pool for ultimate comfort.
The hotel ground floor a stunning lobby with a bar and a dedicated co-working space. The true highlight of the hotel is the spacious room terraces, allowing guests to enjoy breathtaking ocean views and witness both sunrises and sunsets.
Given the challenging coastal weather conditions, one of the primary requirements was the use of durable and wear-resistant materials. The architectural and planning solutions were developed in collaboration with the world-renowned hotel chain, Radisson.
This hotel is designed to become a new destination and a benchmark for affordable family vacations in the Maldives.
