This project involves the reconstruction of a 7-story former textile factory building in the center of Lviv. It envisions the creation of the Horizons Business Center, a modern Class-A facility, featuring the Zenyk Art Gallery—a contemporary art space located on both the ground floor and the rooftop, designed for exhibitions, educational programs, and various artistic events.
The building’s façade represents a synthesis of contemporary trends and classical architectural principles. Continuous glazing, offering panoramic views of the city, has breathed new life into the typical Soviet-era structure. Horizontal ribbons of glass are accented by decorative radial metal elements designed to mimic terracotta.
The design utilizes a graduated glazing ratio: upper floors feature extensive glazing, while the lower levels incorporate more solid elements. This approach lends the building tectonics and provides visual balance. The surrounding landscaping is seamlessly integrated into the overall exhibition space, serving as an open-air display for art objects.
Our team also developed the interiors for the lobby and common areas. Today, this building has become an integral symbol of Lviv, with critics already hailing it as the city’s new center of cultural life.
